West Ireland Investments moves into 'Cochin's Cold Chain Future'

West Ireland Investments has made its second commitment in India with the acquisition of 76,320 square feet of land in Cochin (Kochi), aimed at developing a modern cold chain and warehousing logistics facility.

Cochin, uniquely positioned along the southwest coast of India and adjacent to the Arabian Sea, is close to major global shipping routes. With strong port infrastructure and direct maritime access to Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia, it is ideally placed for both regional and international cargo movement.

This investment supports West Ireland’s broader strategy of expanding into Tier II Indian cities, with a focus on sustainable infrastructure and supply chain resilience. The Cochin project will offer advanced cold storage solutions for exporters and help strengthen India’s role in global trade.

‘West Ireland Investment’ acquires and invests in businesses and assets with a focus on cash flow and sustainable growth. Our strategy is centered on generating long-term returns by building enduring value across all asset classes.

Handling over 30 million tonnes of cargo annually, the Port of Cochin is one of the busiest in the country. It has emerged as a major transshipment hub for cargo destined for the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
